This
giant model of M1A2 Abrams tank is a part of the
project presenting a variety of add-ons which
are mounted on the tank. Add-ons
are patent pending, covered by Non-Disclosure Agreement,
therefore are not shown on the photographs
below.
In scope of the
project we produced one main presentation model
in 1:6 scale and three additional executive desktop models
of the M1A2 Abrams tank and mounted applications
in 1:18 scale.
A digital tooling
that we developed for the M1A2 Abrams tank
earlier and a massive use of rapid prototyping
techniques allowed us to produce this project
extremely fast and to meet a tight deadline.
Only a use of
digital tooling gives an advantage of producing
the same model in different scales. It is easily
adjustable and can be modified to produce models
of an actual M1A2 Abrams tank as well as models
of vehicles built on its platform, such as
Assault Breacher Vehicle (ABV).
